Afi's story is generally lore adjacent, with some personal homebrew additions regarding her homeland and background.   PERSONALITY.   Afi is a short, timid young mage who tucks herself into reading nooks and dark corners. Hey mousy demeanour exposes her low self-esteem. While shy around strangers, she will warm to those and reveal a surprising amount of ambition and purpose.

walkup friendly  LITERATURE LOVER.   Afi reads voraciously, and she's always open to discover new books.. Romance and historical fiction are her favourite genres, but she constantly tries to step out of her literary comfort zone. She is always delighted to receive recommendations and discuss different books together.  SORCERESS-IN-TRAINING.   An amateur member of the Thaumaturge's Guild, Afi is training hard to become a powerful master of thaumaturgy. She may recognise other members of the guild, both current and former.  ARCANE ENTHUSIAST.   Afi has a general interest in spellcraft and loves learning about the many different ways to manipulate aether, even if it doesn't apply to thaumaturgy. In her eyes, everyone has their own unique, like an artist's style. Fellow casters may be approached with many curious questions.  BUDDING ADVENTURER.   The best way to hone one's magical skills is to put them into practice in combat. And yet, Afi's fear prevents her from stepping into the world of adventuring. She's slowly gaining a reptutation cancelling on adventuring parties last minute. Perhaps her name is familiar as one the who bailed on you. And perhaps a gentle push into the fray is all she needs...  SWEET TOOTH.   Afi loves a good treat. She frequents cafes and bakeries, and even bakes herself occasionally. She'll happily take any suggestions for new places to visit. Or perhaps she'll share her newest pastry.

Afi is currently studying Mhachi history and aetherology with a dedicated scholarum, Mhachi Mysteria. Some in similar fields may know this circle of academics from their regular excursions into Yafaem or their published research, The Art of the Voidmage. Those with knowledge or shared interest in Mhach, or the Fifth Astral Era in general, will attract Afi's attention. Perhaps a research collaboration could be in order?

The name Garthrite Webb was once respected within the Thaumaturges Guild. That is, until her fall from grace due to various ethical issues. Now, she quietly tutors Afi in the arcane arts. Veteran members of the guild may remember her and fear for Afi's safety. Or perhaps they're curious of what became of the Black Mage soul crystal in Garthrite's possession...  THE RUBY SEA.   Though she has no memory of it due to her Eorzean upbringing, the hidden village of Sui-no-Sato was her birthplace. She seems to want nothing to do with the place, and may become evasive or even irritable if it comes up in conversation.
